Life in the Law Centre May
We are absolutely delighted to welcome a new solicitor to the Law Centre team. Simon Smith joined us at the start of April and is settling in well. Simon has a background in working with people and really wants to make a difference. He is compassionate and professional and we are sure that he will be a real asset to the Law Centre going forward. Check out Simon’s full profile on our website.
Lisa Duffus (previously a volunteer) has now completed her Diploma in Legal Practice and is working with us on a part time basis. Lisa is working on a variety of tasks including reception and admin. She is really good with technology and is helping with our case management system while learning all about Legal Aid at the same time. Lisa is a popular face at the Law Centre and we are happy to have her on board on a formal basis.
We are also about to start running solicitor appointments in the community again. Weekly sessions will be held at Kirkton Community Centre on Wednesday afternoons, 2-5pm from Wednesday 15 May 2002. On Fridays, we will hold sessions at
Whitfield Parish Church from 11am-12noon from Friday 13 May 2022. Contact us to make an appointment for these locations. We are planning to offer more sessions very soon so keep an eye on social media for updates.
As always, there is a lot going on at Dundee Law Centre; both with clients and behind the scenes. Appointments are booking up quickly. If you are a current client, and need an update on your case, or have some further information for us, contact our new Case Management Team who will be happy to help you. You can contact them by calling 01382 918227 or emailing casemanagement@dundeelaw.org. If you are not an existing client but need an appointment to see a solicitor, or want to find out if Dundee Law Centre can help you, contact reception on 01382 918230, email enquiries@dundeelaw.org or complete the form on our website.
